From Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3, it is to me the mother of all Pop songs. I dared 'the digital blasphemy' after having sampled and programmed enough sounds that come as close as possible to sounding real. I have always been wondering what Bach would have done, had he had the wonderfull possibilities we enjoy today. Enjoy the nicest ballad ever written.

Don't get frightened by the title:-) This song is really a dedication to Roland MT32's, based on the legendary D-50 sound architecture, it was fun programming a setup of 3 each , coming up with a 96 voice polyphony of fully programmed sounds, bringing out the 'dirty side' of linear arithmic synthesis.

Ocarolans Dream

When I first heard this melody, I got tears in my eyes... it sounded so familiar. That's how I found Turlough O'Carolan an Irish harper born in 1670, who died in 1738. Carolan's melodies survive only as single line melodies, without a clue to how he accompanied or harmonized them. This is my interpretation of his work.

Thanks that's enough

This was made to hijack people from Switzeland into Germany... Yes; back in 96 there was the 'Art Fair' a contemporary art fair in Basel, Switzerland as well as a 'Young Art Fair' where young artists exhibited their art in protest, because they did not get invited to the 'Art Fair'. A friend of mine exhibited his work at a gallery in a transformed farmhouse right across from the border of Switzerland, got a bus, sponsored by Mercedes. We put ip a sign saying 'shuttle bus' outside both swiss fairs, picked up people and 'hijacked' them across the border to the farmhouse :) where this music could be heard, in the bus and in the gallery at the farmhouse. Due to the rural atmosphere of the site; fire in the backjard, grill going, champagne being passed around, the majority of art critics visited our exhibition and we hit the newspapers for 'hijacking people :):):).

This was part of Luxembourg's installation during the 'Biennale in Venice', a contemporary art exhibition, in 1995. It features parts of interviews with Marcel Duchamps, Klaus Deja on the bass and the idea came from my friend Bert Theis, a contemporary artist that I work closely with.
